The Greater Farmington Area Chamber

About the Chamber

The Greater Farmington Area Chamber of Commerce represents both business communities in Farmington and Farmington Hills. The GFA Chamber is the hub and your connection to these two amazing communities.  Our staff is dedicated to making the most of your membership through quality events, outstanding promotional and networking opportunities, and superior customer support, all while being your primary tie to the business community. We believe a strong chamber is an essential element in creating and maintaining a vibrant business community.

Our Mission

“The Greater Farmington Area Chamber of Commerce is a conduit for its members to connect with fellow businesses and community partners through powerful networking, promotion, and education, to achieve their goals.”

Our Executive Director

Susan Arlin

Susan Arlin

Susan Arlin joined as Executive Director on November 30, 2021. An experienced leader in business strategy, communications, e-commerce, staff development, public speaking and more, Susan brings a unique combination of skills to serve the GFACC’s diverse membership. She has worked with a variety of businesses – varying in size, industry, and challenges – and has a proven track record of delivering customized strategies and solutions for business and individual success.

Susan has lived in the Farmington/Farmington Hills community for 22 years, raising three children who attended Farmington Public Schools. A passionate servant leader, Arlin is the Chairperson of the Farmington Pathways Committee and is a  volunteer at The Farmington Farmer’s Market, one of the most successful markets in the state. Susan also created the Farmington Brewing Company (FBC) Run Club in 2016, with the goal of creating a running community in downtown Farmington. What started with 25 people has grown to include over 600 participants over the years, running every Tuesday night and during special events, while finding creative ways to support downtown businesses.

When Susan is not working with Chamber members, you can find her running around town–literally.
