Group Exercise Instructors, under the leadership of the Wellness Director, are responsible for providing high quality, safe and effective Group Exercise classes for the Farmington YMCA members and guests. The responsibilities include lesson planning, effective delivery of classes, providing modifications for all fitness levels, answering member questions and concerns and building professional relationships with members.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Must have Group exercise certification
A minimum of 1 year of YMCA and/or Group Exercise experience but willing to train the right candidate
Must be skilled in Group Exercise instruction, have strong communication skills, able to recognize participants needing extra instruction, work well as a team player and keep all certifications current.
Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
Hourly rate commensurate with experience and class.

Job Type: Part-time
High school or equivalent
Group Fitness: 3-6 months experience
Required license or certification:
Nationally Recognized Group Exercise Certification and/or specialty certification
Current CPR/AED and First Aid
