Each year, LMCU’s Roots in Education Grant program awards twenty-five (25) $1,000 grants to teachers across Michigan and Florida who have had a positive impact on their students and school community. This year, we are celebrating educators who are empowering.
Tell us how the teacher you’re nominating goes above and beyond to empower their students, such as encouraging students to make their own decisions, equipping them to take ownership of their education, or building their self-confidence and self-expression and they could receive one of the 25, $1,000 grants. Attached to this email is a social media guide and social media graphics for you to use to help promote this program.
This grant can be used towards anything that benefits the educational process, such as purchasing classroom supplies or aiding in online learning. Teachers can be nominated by students, parents, other teachers, community members, or administrators. Eligibility is open to active Pre-K through 12th-grade classroom teachers in Michigan and Florida. Nominations will be accepted April 1st through May 8th. Grant recipients will be announced in June 2022.
