Farmington Hills, Mich. —July 24, 2020— Options abound for golfers this year as Judson Center, a
multi-county human service agency, offers avid players and armchair participants two ways to support
the nonprofit organization.
In collaboration with Becker College eSports program, Judson Center presents the inaugural eGolf
Challenge on Monday, August 17. Tickets can be purchased for $75 at
www.judsoncenter.org/events/corporate-golf-challenge by Monday, August 10. The ticket includes
entry into the virtual tournament with a chance to win a $150 Visa gift card.
“Judson Center is excited to partner with Becker College, which is nationally recognized for its game
design program, to enhance our annual golf event with a fun and engaging virtual experience for
golfers and non-golfers to participate and show their support,” said Judson Center CEO and President
Lenora Hardy-Foster. “This is a very challenging time for the non-profit community and Judson Center
needs not only continued support from our longstanding partners, but an additional network of
individuals and corporations who are inspired by the work we’ve done with children and families since
1924.”
Here’s how the Judson Center eGolf Challenge works:
• Download the WGT Golf App to your phone
• Login and set up your personalized Avatar
• Once your reservation is received, you will receive a YouTube instructional video explaining how
to join the Judson Center Golf Club
• The Judson Center eGolf Challenge launches on Monday, August 17; you will have 48 hours to
complete play (generally will not take more than 30-45 minutes)
• When the tournament concludes, a leaderboard will be displayed and the first place winner will
be contacted to receive the prize
“Becker College is honored to support the Judson Center—an organization that resonates with the
College’s mission and core values,” said Alan Ritacco, Ph.D., AVP Academic Affairs and Dean of the
School of Design & Technology.
For those looking for a more conventional golf outing, the annual Judson Center Corporate Golf
Challenge will take place on Monday, August 24, at the Birmingham Country Club, 1750 Saxon Drive.
Presented by Ruby+Associates, Inc. and Barton Malow, the event this year will let golfers “physically
come together while staying 6-feet apart;” Judson Center is taking the necessary precautions to ensure
that social distancing is being observed and CDC safety protocols are followed. Additional sponsors
include Bank of Ann Arbor–Birmingham, Giarmarco, Mullins & Horton, P.C., Mike Savoie Chevrolet,
PwC, Supply Line International, Superior Electric, and TCF Center.
Judson Center programming includes autism, foster care and adoption in tandem with its affiliate,
Child Safe Michigan, employment services for persons with disabilities, integrated primary healthcare
for all ages through Judson Center Family Health, and behavioral health services as a Certified
Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC).
Sponsorships for the Corporate Golf Challenge – including the mask sponsorship at $5,000 – are still
